Wine club

Wine clubIn our wine club, we’ve visited the big wine producing countries: Spain, France, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, the US and Italy. Sometimes we’ve done an introduction to a country (Italy and Spain). Sometimes we’ve focused on a specific region. We’ve had some wonderful wines – some we already knew, but most we didn’t.

There have been some real surprises (the wines of Greece ), some incredible bargains (including a Rioja from Lidl), and some fabulously extravagant wines that we’ve loved tasting.

This blog is partly to keep a record of some of the wines we’ve tried, and partly to share some of our experiences. If you like wine but, like us, not expert in it, I hope it will be interesting.

A wine club is a great excuse to try new wine, explore different specialist wine shops and learn a bit along the way. But mostly for us it’s about a group of good friends getting together regularly, and having fun.
